Hi again
I telephoned Wanadoo Broadband Support and the guy said to update Java on my
computer at www.java.com which I have done.
No difference the page is still the same,
I have changed the homepage to Google. but as I am paying £28 for broadband
you would think they would be able to fix the thing.

What's happening to Donna, is the same as i'm getting, as for turning off/on
the
pop-up blocker I'm afraid it didn't work for me.
I have e-mailed & telephoned Wanadoo and the guy said they know that's a
problem with the Wanadoo homepage and there is nothing wrong with my
computer, but could not tell me when it will get fixed.
I have also done a complete format "clean install" of windows XP Pro and
when everything was installed the problem was still there.
is everybody's homepage the same as mine, everything down the left side with
4 rows of what seams to be
bubbles, boxes, bricks & lifebelts graphics across the page

Er...Why is the Wanadoo homepage so important to you? It's mostly
advertising and stuff - about all you are likely to need are the Help and
Webmail and they can be accessed separately.

I have the same problem with my Wanadoo home page too. I called Wanadoo and
they say that I have a Java scripting error and should uninstall my M/soft
Internet Explorer.....no chance !!
Several people that I have asked say that it is up to Wanadoo to correct
their system. We are in the middle here.

I don't see how they can fix the problem until we know what it is - it works
all right for me (and others I think).

Maybe it might be worth a MS visit to their update site as there have been a
number of updates for IE and OE. This might help situation. I have no
problem, but I didn't download pop up stopper from wanadoo stuck with the
earlier set up.

Yes mine is the same, together with many others it seems.
The pop-up blocking did not work for me either. Be careful what you do as a
result of a call to Wanadoo. The guy there told me to uninstall and
reinstall IE. No way !
It seems we are getting a profusion of differing advice from there.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.
I disabled my ad-blocking on Internet Security Professional and it had
no effect so I turned it back on.
After checking 'goggle's groups I found some people had been advised
by Wanadoo help line to update java from www.java.com although they
had not been successful.
I tried this and after permitting access via Internet Security
Professional I have found it to be successful, the page is now
displaying correctly.

Best Regards
David Agg

N.B. After further thought I'm not sure whether the problem occurred
spontaneously or after I had downloaded Windows XP Service Pack 2

If it helps? I found that I cured the problem by changing my homepage address to
https://www.wanadoo.co.uk/ Note the 's' after 'http' reset this address to the default
connection and it was fine
