Somebody has hijacked my "about:blank" page. There's no offending folder in
C: and although I remove all obvious connected items from the User and
Machine parts of the registry, as soon as I come out and go back in, they
reappear. I have been editing in the
User/Machine_Software_Microsoft_Internet Explorer_Main. They replacing page
is a general search engine page. Anybody any ideas please? Im using Windows
XP Pro.

I have just cured the problem. I tried all the add buster programmes and
they didn't work. Then I looked at Microsoft updates, QandA Internet
problems and there I found instructions on removing the nasty by going into
' Regedit' Look it up .
Sorry I can't give all the details as its complicated but it's all there on
the Microsoft help pages.
